An interpretive essay should be written based on your personal perception of that quote. for that reason, I can't write the essay for you, but I can show you how this essay can be written and that's what I'm going to do.

The quote shown in the question shows us how authors, even if they are no longer alive, are able to communicate with each other through their works and show us real and current information about life and society. Based on this, you can write your essay showing how there are books, written in the past that manage to present something of today's society.

An example of a literary work you can use in this essay is the poem "The Raven" written by Edgar Alan Poe. You can quickly read and interpret and show a parallel between this poem and the discussion of mental health we have today.
